About Us

Composed of members from Fleming College and from the Indigenous Community, the Indigenous Education Council (IEC) seeks to further expand and improve Indigenous Education and broaden the Indigenous experience at Fleming College. Also, the IEC is committed to developing and supporting Indigenous education aspirations through curriculum, programs, services and research at Fleming College that meets the Indigenous and Non-Indigenous students, faculty and staff with the college.

The IEC acts as a primary advisory to the Fleming College community on matters relating to Indigenous education offerings and Indigenous support services. Although the governance of Fleming College lies with the Board of Governors, the IEC is linked to them through the College President.
