Welcome to our Communications Hub

We are a central destination for storytelling, internal communication, and media relations that support Fleming’s strategic priorities.

How to Request or Submit a Media Release

Submit Early (Minimum 2 Weeks’ Lead Time): Send your request at least two weeks before your preferred publishing date. This provides necessary time for writing, editing, required leadership approvals, and strategic scheduling on our Fleming Connect planner.

Gather and Provide Details: Prepare core information to submit to the Communications team. You can provide either:

  • A bulleted list outlining the key facts (who, what, when, where, why, and contact details).
  • A fully written draft release.

Send to Communications: E-mail your materials directly to communications@flemingcollege.ca to begin the review and scheduling process.

NOTE: If there are multiple requests to send a release on the same day, the send date may be subject to change.

How to Request an All-Staff or All-Student E-mail

Submit your e-mail request to the Communications team three (3) to five (5) business days prior to your preferred send date. Your e-mail request should include the following information:

  • The recipient group (All staff, all students, Sutherland staff only, etc.)
  • The e-mail account you would like your message to come from (Communications, Student Experience, School, etc.)
  • The date you would like the e-mail sent
  • A copy of the e-mail message you would like sent in a word document

The Communications team will review the e-mail, edit to ensure consistency across all college messaging, and work with leadership to approve the communication.

NOTE: If there are multiple e-mail requests for the same day, the requested send date may be subject to change.
