Human Resources has partnered with the School of Health & Wellness and the Ecosystem Management Technology Program to bring you this exciting employee wellness initiative which benefits both Fleming students and employees.  Students gain valuable experience by developing and leading wellness related activities which in in turn benefit participating Fleming employees in gaining new knowledge & skills to improve their health & wellness.

How it works:

Fleming employees register & attend sessions listed below, earn 4 stamps, & redeem your “passport” for a unique prize to be announced soon!

Ecohealth Conference ‘Sustainability at a Variety of scales: Acting Locally to Impact Globally’

Conference attendees will learn about sustainability and taking a systems thinking approach to the sustainability of our communities – locally, regional, and globally. Through hands-on workshops, speakers, and exhibits initiatives in the Peterborough/Kawartha Lakes region that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability will be highlighted. Have you ever wondered what resources are available at the PSWC, or how the fitness machines work? Join 4th semester Fitness & Health Promotions students as they provide you with knowledge an insight into this terrific resource right in our own back yard!

Don’t miss this opportunity to work as a team with other Fleming employees to test your knowledge and enhance your  awareness of maintaining positive physical and mental wellness.  All ability levels welcome!   A Fitness & Health Promotion and Recreation student is currently developing this exciting event –   stay tuned for details.

Group Fitness Classes:

Join the fun and energetic 2nd semester Fitness & Health Promotion and Rec & Leisure students as they conduct 45 minute full-body Group Fitness Classes.

The classes will be multi-leveled and will include a cardiorespiratory component as well as a strength component using body weight and light dumbbells.

Healthy Living Award – nominate a peer!

All Fleming College employees to give recognition and appreciation to their co-workers for living and advocating a healthy lifestyle. The improved Healthy Living Award allows employees to develop a better understanding of how to live a healthy life by applying the dimensions of wellness (occupational, physical, social, intellectual and spiritual/emotional) to their everyday.

Aromatherapy & Personal Wellness Session

Join Esthetician students to learn about the benefits of Essential Oils on the skin and the positive effects on your well-being, health and state of mind.  Be prepared to enjoy many scents as you learn how to give yourself a facial on your journey to find what you like best when you want to relax or become rejuvenated.
