Description

Overview

IT Support Walk-In services offers hardware diagnosis, software support and other technical services on a walk-in basis.

IT Support Walk-In services is available for:

  • Configuration, installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of eligible computer hardware, software, networking and peripherals
  • “How to” help on all supported technologies
  • Support of mobile devices
    • Configuration of network, help with wireless
    • Configuration of email accounts
  • Help with adding funds/refunds for self-service printing (student customers)

Limitations

Support provided for end-user devices only; hardware/software not on supported technologies list is best efforts only

Support subject to vendor/manufacturer service/parts/software availability, where applicable.

  • Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 5:30pm (Brealey and Frost Learning Commons)
  • Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (Brealey and Frost Learning Commons)
  • Saturday — Closed
  • Sunday — Closed

Target Response Time

First come/first served; no appointment necessary


Requirements

Customer must:

  • Have valid login account for SSFC
  • Remain in clinic for diagnosis and troubleshooting of personally owned computers
  • Bring all software installed on personally owned computer and back up all personal data.

Costs
No charge to faculty, students, or staff for consultations.
