Eastern Region Programs

The Eastern Region is a collection of colleges in the eastern region of Ontario.  This group includes Algonquin, Durham, Fleming, La Cité, Loyalist and St. Lawrence Colleges. The Eastern Region group collaborates to share faculty development opportunities and resources to benefit faculty at all the colleges.

Focus on Learning (FOL)
Spanning an academic year, the FOL program involves two, in-residence sessions during which you will have a chance to network with fellow teaching colleagues from other colleges as well as your own. Plus, you will be able to tap into a network of over 1500 college teachers in the Eastern Region who have taken part in regional professional development opportunities.

Aligning & Building Curriculum (ABC)
The Aligning and Building Curriculum (ABC) Institute is an engaging and reflective experience. The four day ABC Institute will help participants to develop a variety of leadership and practical skills in curriculum design, analysis and review at their colleges. Hosted by Durham College.

Celebrating Great Teaching (CGT)
The Celebrating Great Teaching experience is designed for faculty who have more than five years of teaching experience and who are comfortable with collaborative learning, open-ended learning environments, sharing of teaching experiences and resources, being open to new ideas, and working in a multi-disciplinary environment. Leadership Excellence in Academic Programming (LEAP)
The Eastern Region Academic Coordinator Development Program is a program that will help participants to develop skills related to the unique aspects of collegial leadership.

Eastern Region College Committee on Human Resources Development (ERCCHRD)
The Eastern Region College Committee on Human Resources Development (ERCCHRD) endeavours to provide relevant professional development and training opportunities to college faculty, support, and administrative staff in Eastern Ontario.
