The recording is 112 minutes – at around the 39 min mark we started the breakout sessions but kept the recording going – you won’t hear or see anything interesting for about 20 mins when we all were back in the meeting room and debriefed what we learned

WebEx Training: Breakout Rooms and D2L Integration
Here is a recorded session created by Troy Legresley, who worked with a group of Law and Justice Folks on “How to Setup and Use Breakout Rooms with WebEx Training”:

Powerpoint with Instructions

A few things that need to be noted:

  1. In a breakout space, there is no video for the participants or recording.
  2. If you are practicing screen sharing and sharing the “screen session” to show someone how to do a breakout, you have to stop the share in order to start the breakout session.
  3. Training Centre isn’t videocentric like a Webex meeting, so if faculty are teaching in that application, they aren’t looking at their students in the same fashion they are in a Webex meeting.
