Guided by Fleming College’s Strategic Plan and Academic Plan, the Academic Quality Office (AQO) works to assure, enhance and continuously improve the quality of academic standards and practices at Fleming.  Functions undertaken by the AQO include:

• Acting as the main liaison with external quality assurance Ministry agencies, including leading the College’s Quality Assurance Audit process (CQAAP);
• Leading the development of new programs, from conception to launch, in coordination with internal and external stakeholders;
• Coordinating and guiding Annual and Cyclical Program Review;
• Developing and monitoring quality assurance policies and procedures;
• Overseeing curriculum change approval, review and renewal processes;
• Supporting academic staff with best practices in teaching, learning and curriculum design; and,
• Supporting Schools with program requirements for meeting provincial/industry/board standards, national qualification frameworks, and accreditation bodies’ requirements.
