Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
The purpose of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) is to ensure
that all Ontarians have fair and equitable access to programs and services and to improve
opportunities for persons with disabilities. The Act will eventually cover all of these areas:
- Customer service standards
- Information and communication
- Built environment
Students on placement may work with people with disabilities. If your program requires AODA training before placement you will need to complete this course. Once you have completed the course, it will be added to your co-curricular record (CCR). You MUST submit your CCR record from your online AODA training to email@example.com by the NARs deadline. You will need to take AODA training only once and this training does not need to be renewed (unless a new version of the act is released).
You may take the online AODA training here:

*Please remember you MUST send a copy of the completed AODA Training on your CCR record to firstname.lastname@example.org or it will not be recorded on your NARs file. Please ensure your full name, the AODA course and course completion are visible.
