Tips

• Test with a screen reader like NVDA (Windows) or VoiceOver (built-in to MacOS). Turn your monitor off or turn the brightness to zero for a realistic experience.
• Ensure colour contrast meets WCAG standards.
• When Scanning material and saving as a PDF::
  • Use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert scanned images to readable text.
  • Then tag and check accessibility.
• Bookmark key sections for easier navigation. You can add bookmarks in Adobe Acrobat, but if you have access to the original source document, it may be easier to update the link there before exporting or saving as a PDF.
