Meet Our Team

2023/2024 Peer Mentor Team

Hey, I am Mugdha Avdhoot Vaidya, an upper semester student from the Paralegal Program. I hail from Pune, Maharashtra, India. I came to understand the value of volunteering during my first semester of classes at Fleming College. I joined the SAC Street Team and Global Friends Cafe with the intention of helping and giving back. I later joined the LGBTQ+ club and also became a founding member of BIPOC. I presently work as a Peer Mentor with Student Experience Department and as a Tutor with the Tutoring and Academic Skills Centre. ME, I consider myself to be a very serious person – but apparently my friends argue the very opposite! I know, how can a person be both but, I guess I am! Also, it comes as a shock to practically everyone I say that I detest ice cream but adore gelato. Well, go figure!

My name is Amir Mehran and I am in the Police Foundations program.
I moved to Canada in 2015 and initially settled in Saskatchewan. I have a passion for adventure and am always drawn to opportunities that take me to new places. I love challenges and trying new things, especially in sports. Exploring natural reserves, like rafting in Ottawa, and camping in the great outdoors are some of my favorite pastimes. I also enjoy exploring abandoned places and hunting for mysterious items, making magnet fishing and metal detecting at the beach some of my hobbies.
I became a Peer Mentor because I have a deep interest in leadership, which I believe is closely tied to the maturity, principles, and integrity we learn in the Police Foundations program. I genuinely love working within the community and helping fellow students by sharing my personal experiences. In particular, I’m enthusiastic about addressing cultural differences, which is especially relevant for new students.

My current likes are books and fashion and my dislikes are dishonesty.

From organizing impactful community projects to fostering innovation, Enactus is where my passion for business and social responsibility collides.
