In December 2015, Fleming College signed Colleges and Institutes Canada’s (CICan) Indigenous Education Protocol, reaffirming the college’s commitment to Indigenous education, to be more inclusive of Indigenous cultures, eliminate barriers to education, and better serve Indigenous peoples. Signing the Protocol builds on the College’s history of supporting Aboriginal learners, guided by its Aboriginal Education Council. College President Tony Tilly affirmed “Going forward we will focus further on the attributes that the Protocol strives for. We recognize that not only will our Aboriginal students benefit from this work, but so will our entire Fleming community,” |
