What is the CCR?

The CCR is an official record of your ‘out of classroom’ involvement on campus. The record serves to track activities and associated learning outcomes for various participation opportunities categorized in eight distinct categories of involvement.

I haven’t participated in anything, Do I still have a CCR?

Every student has a CCR in their portal but if you have not participated in any out-of-classroom activities, your record will be blank. You must participate in activities, and select your unique learning outcomes, before your CCR will be populated.  Start searching for opportunities today!

I participated in an activity last year but it is not showing on my record. Can I add activities from previous years?

Unfortunately activities from previous years cannot be added to your record.  All entries must be added during the same academic year in which the activity was completed. It is your responsibility to ensure your CCR involvement is reflected accurately on your record by August 1st of each year.  If you see something is missing, contact the CCR Team

I participated in an activity but don’t see it in the CCR opportunity directory. How can I get this activity added?

Contact the activity staff lead. The CCR Team can evaluate the activity eligibility and support them to fill out an application to have the position added to the directory.

I participated in an activity but it was declined and/or I don’t see it added to my record. How can I get this activity added to my CCR?

Positions are added to your record after you have completed the requirements – often this means once the position is over. If you do not see your record updated after two weeks of the position completion, contact the position lead directly or connect with the CCR Team.

If your position has been declined, it may be because you have not yet completed the full requirements or there is no record of your participation. The CCR Team does not determine your eligibility for individual positions; please connect with the position contact to determine your eligibility.  If your request has been denied in error, the position lead can add your involvement directly or they can contact the CCR Team with a request to update your record.

I volunteered at a community event outside of Fleming. Do volunteer contributions to outside agencies reflect on my Fleming CCR?

No, only positions affiliated with Fleming College can be added to your CCR. In order for an activity to be eligible for inclusion in the CCR opportunity directory, there must be a staff/faculty activity lead assigned who can verify the activity outcomes and student participation.

I am not in a community service program, do I really need a CCR?

The CCR is a great way to gain confidence and enhance your transferable skills. The learning outcomes reflected in all CCR positions reflect the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development essential employability skills model. All students will benefit from getting involved in co-curricular opportunities.

What does a the official CCR look like and how can an employer verify my participation?

All student CCR’s have a unique website and QR code, located under the signature, on the bottom left of the record. Employers can access the online version of your unique record using the website/QR code information on your CCR.

You can also use your unique website link in any of your professional online profiles.

How can I print off my CCR?

You can print your CCR as many times as you want to. Your CCR will automatically update each time a new position is added. The option to print your CCR is located in the portal under the CCR search directory .  You can also use this option to save your record as a .pdf file.

I am a Fleming graduate, do I still have access to my CCR?

Your weblink will remain valid after you graduate. You can also contact the CCR Team for a copy of your record at any time.

How can I use my CCR?

The CCR is a tool for you to use to best promote your skills and experience.
