Frequently Asked Questions

What if I drop too many classes?

Dropping classes may change your registration status and OSAP eligibility. Check with the Registrar’s Office if you have any concerns about your status or require assistance.

What if I add too many classes?

Full-time Post-Secondary programs have a maximum class load. If you add more classes than the maximum you will be charged for the class.

What is a Class Section? – What does the coding mean?

Post-Secondary section identifiers are 3 characters in length. The first character of the section identifies the class type. The following are valid class types:

  • C – class/lecture
  • L – lab
  • S – seminar
  • O – other

The next two characters are unique numeric digits that identify the class. If the section number contains doesn’t have a leading letter i.e. “91” it could indicate the class is offered through our Continuing Education division and does not form part of a full-time post-secondary academic load.

To determine what kind of delivery is planned for this class, click on the “Section” and additional information on the class section will display.
