Student Experience
I am passionate about human rights and working with students and staff to create a welcoming campus life. My background is in community development and I worked in Toronto and Montreal before returning to my home town of Peterborough. I have many years of experience in women’s services, community economic development, and newcomer settlement services, so I understand the role of a college diploma in your immigration pathway. Paralegal/Law Clerk Program, 2nd year
I was born and raised right here in Peterborough and am considered a mature student. My interest in being a peer mentor stems from wanting to help students navigate their academic lives, especially for new students and international students this can be very stressful. I also have some experience tutoring English as a second language. I have a strong interest in sexual violence prevention and awareness for all genders. I hope to create a more inclusive space throughout the college and connect with a variety of people. Outside of class I enjoy reading, being outside and anything in the creative realm. I am so excited to help you along your academic journey!
