How to Make An Appointment

To book an appointment, during office hours, call 705-749-5504 (Sutherland Campus) or 705-324-9144 x. 3232 (Frost Campus) and speak to our Health Service Assistants. You can walk-in to book an appointment. A few types of appointments can also be booked online.

You can request an appointment by leaving a voicemail message or sending an email.

When making an appointment, you will be asked for:

  • Your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) number or your alternate insurance plan information
  • Your first and last name
  • Your student number
  • Your current telephone number
  • The reason for your visit

PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINUTES AHEAD OF YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME.

If you are experiencing a respiratory or gastrointestinal illness, we ask that you wear a mask to your appointment. Masks are also available at the entrance to Health Services.

You will need to provide your student card and health card at each appointment.

We are a scent-free facility. Please avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, or other scented products.

Missed, Late, or Cancelled Appointments

24-hour notice is required for cancellation of your appointment. Appointments that are cancelled less than 24 hours in advance may result in a fee being charged to your student account.

If you do not show up for your appointment a fee will be charged to your student account.

If you are late for your appointment, it may be rescheduled and a fee may be charged to your student account.

To cancel your appointment at Sutherland Campus, please call 705-749-5504 or to cancel your appointment at Frost Campus, please call 705-324-9144 x 3232. You may speak with a medical office assistant or leave a voicemail with your name, student number, date, and time of your appointment. Voicemails are time-stamped.

If you develop cold or flu-like symptoms and have an appointment for another reason, please call the clinic where your appointment is scheduled and speak to the medical office assistant so that we can reschedule your appointment.

About Fleming Health Services

Fleming Student Health Services is a team of caring, dedicated, multi-disciplinary professionals with expertise in college student health and wellness.

As part of the Student Wellness Centre, we support a diverse student population through the provision of confidential primary health care, health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness education.

Student Health Services is an appointment based medical clinic for all registered part-time and full-time students at Fleming College.

Please note: Appointments are typically required to receive care.

Services we offer:

  • Doctor appointments
  • On-site nursing care
  • Assessment of illness, blood work requisitions
  • Vaccines include: Flu / MMR / Chickenpox / Hep A & B / Tetanus / Polio / Gardasil
  • TB skin testing
  • Physical exams, pap tests, birth control, STI testing
  • Mental health services
  • Gender-affirming care
  • Referrals to specialists (ex. gynecologists /dermatologists) if medically necessary

Under “What’s the Concern” Reason for Appointment please include:

  1. Student ID number
  2. Program
  3. Peterborough Address
  4. Domestic students only: Health card # with version code & expiry date

In this appointment, you will meet with the Advisor to review your vaccination history and book a doctor’s appointment for any needed vaccines, including a TB test. You will fill out the immunization form for uploading to Synergy.

Please bring:

  • Immunization Form from NARS website
  • Medical records from childhood
  • COVID vaccine certificates
