TRANSITIONAL SUPPORT FOR FIRST- YEAR, FIRST NATION, MÉTIS AND INUIT STUDENTS

The Bishkaa (Anishinaabemowin for “Rise Up”) program provides a wholistic approach to support incoming First Nations (status and non-status), Métis and Inuit students.

This mentorship program begins with virtual orientation sessions and programming in August and is an ongoing peer mentorship program available to Indigenous students throughout the school year.

Bishkaa is a great opportunity to connect with Indigenous student services staff and other Indigenous students to build friendships and cultural connections.
