IT governance is the structure, leadership practices, and processes that maintain and support the organization’s IT strategy and business objectives.
Purpose
The purpose of IT governance is to ensure the effective and efficient use of IT resources, enabling Fleming to achieve its goals by actively engaging with constituent stakeholders. IT governance objectives must align with enterprise goals and facilitate the prioritized allocation of IT resources. This is accomplished by developing, implementing, and managing Fleming College’s IT strategic plan, related business plans and major projects.
The College’s IT governance framework helps to ensure that IT continually modernizes and leverages opportunities while managing disruptive technologies with an agile and responsive approach. The IT governance committees and working group coordinate efforts to achieve the College’s IT goals as outlined in our strategic and academic plans.
