Service Restored: Haliburton Main Campus IT Network (Wired Connectivity)

Why?
Power has been restored to the Network Switches.
What’s the impact?
Power has been restored to the network switches at Haliburton Main Campus. All affected IT services, including wired network and internet access, audiovisual systems, telephony services, and printing, have been successfully restored and are now fully operational.

What’s the impact?
Due to an unplanned outage affecting certain areas of the campus, some users may experience disruptions to the following IT services including wired network and internet access, audiovisual systems, telephony services, and printing. ITS is actively investigating the issue and will provide further updates as they become available.

Bell has fixed the impacted phone circuit.
What’s the impact?
Inbound calls to 705-324-9144 continue to be answered by the College’s auto-attendant.
Unplanned Outage: Frost main campus phone line 705-324-9144 is down

Why?
Bell telephony circuit is down.
What’s the impact?
A service disruption is preventing inbound calls to the Frost Campus main number (705-324-9144). A support ticket is opened with Bell to restore service.
In the meantime, calls to Frost campus are still possible via our tollfree number 1 866 353 6464.
Scheduled Maintenance Wireless (Wi-Fi) Network Upgrade at Sutherland Residence Buildings 1 – 6
When?
Monday, August 17 – Friday, August 28 2026
Why?
To upgrade the College’s wireless (Wi-Fi) network infrastructure at Sutherland Residence Buildings 1 – 6.
What’s the impact?
Fleming’s on-campus wireless (Wi-Fi) service will experience short, localized intermittent outages as we upgrade one access point at a time during this maintenance window.
After the upgrade, the next time you connect to Fleming’s Wi-Fi service, your device may ask you to confirm the connection information and/or trust a new certificate – which is safe to do as part of this upgrade.
