Sexual Assault Response Team (Peterborough Regional Health Centre): Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week medical care immediately following a sexual assault, testing for STI’s, collection of forensic evidence, crisis support, follow-up counselling, and arrangements to talk to police (all with client’s consent). Victims Services of Peterborough and Northumberland: Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week emotional and practical support, SupportLink (safety planning) as well as the Victim Quick Response Program.1-888-822-7729.

Lindsay and Haliburton:

Kawartha Haliburton Victim Services: Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week emotional and practical support as well as the Victim Quick Response Program. 705-454-1884 / 1-800-574-4401.

Women’s Resources: Provides 24 hour immediate support line 705-878-3662, outreach counselling, short-term community support, which can include court support, support groups, and shelter/housing support. 705-878-4285. Located at: 22 Russell St. E, Lindsay, ON.

Haliburton:

Women’s Centre of Haliburton County: Provides crisis support, individual and group counselling, help accessing emergency accommodations, emergency transportation to safety, safety planning, housing support, job support, and court accompaniment. 705-286-6442, Crisis Line: 1-800-461-7656.

Northumberland Community Counselling Centre: Provides counselling, support information, education and advocacy for individuals, couples and families.
