The following documents and resources govern parking and vehicle use on Fleming College property:
Parking Requirements
These requirements apply to all vehicles entering, stopping, standing or parking on Fleming College property, including vehicles operated by students, employees, contractors and visitors.
Anyone parking on campus must maintain valid parking authorization during the posted paid-parking periods. Parking authorization may be obtained through:
- A valid Fleming College parking permit;
- Daily parking purchased using the QR codes displayed in participating parking lots; or
- A parking kiosk, where available.
Parking permits are purchased through the Online Parking Portal and are connected to the licence plate registered on the permit holder’s account. Physical permits, decals and receipts are not issued or required to be displayed.
Drivers are responsible for entering their licence plate information accurately and ensuring their parking authorization is valid for the lot in which they park and for the entire duration of their stay.
College Property and Parking Access
The grounds of Fleming College, including all parking areas, parklands, roads and pathways, are private property.
Fleming College reserves the right to:
- Control parking and traffic on campus;
- Prohibit access to a vehicle;
- Temporarily suspend parking arrangements;
- Close or restrict access to parking areas; and
- Restrict or revoke parking privileges.
These actions may be taken for emergencies, special events, maintenance, construction, operational requirements or other College purposes.
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The purchase of a parking permit or daily parking does not reserve or guarantee a parking space.
A lack of available parking does not exempt a vehicle from the parking requirements or authorize parking in a restricted or prohibited area.
Driver Responsibilities
All individuals operating or parking a vehicle on College property must comply with:
- The Fleming College Parking Regulations;
- Posted parking and regulatory signage;
- Traffic controls and campus speed limits; and
- Directions given by Parking Services, Campus Security or other authorized College personnel.
Fleming College uses Automatic Licence Plate Recognition and on-site monitoring to administer and enforce its parking regulations.
Loss Damage and Safety Concerns
Fleming College and its employees, agents, contractors and representatives assume no responsibility for loss, theft, damage, personal injury or harm involving vehicles or their contents while on College property.
Damage, loss, safety concerns or injuries should be reported to Campus Security or Parking Services as soon as reasonably possible. Where appropriate, individuals should also contact law enforcement, emergency services or a collision reporting centre.
The Parking Regulations promote the safe, fair and orderly use of Fleming College parking facilities. By entering or parking on College property, users agree to follow the regulations and all applicable Ontario laws.
