Get Support
If you have experienced discrimination or harassment, you can speak to staff about your options:
- Report incidents involving college employees or students, or taking place on campus property: For on campus incidents where the person who is harassing you or discriminating against you is a college employee, you can report it by contacting humanrights@flemingcollege.ca. If it is a student(s), contact SR&R@flemingcollege.ca and find support and/or use the online reporting form:
- Report incidents happening in the community: Peterborough Police Services
To report a hate crime, in an emergency dial 911. To report a non-emergency crime, please call 705-876-1122 or use the online Reporting form for hate/bias incidents ( “Any hostile expression that may be motivated by another person’s race, color, disability, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.” )
- Find emotional support: Contact Fleming Personal Wellness Counselling and ask for the BIPOC Counsellor, or join a student club or network where you can find peer support. Student Experience Peer Mentors are trained student workers who can listen and help you find support: peermentoring@flemingcollege.ca
