Disposable N95 masks are used by students on health placements to ensure no bacteria or infections are passed between students and patients. The appropriate fit size and type are essential, so you must be fit tested.

Important note: Participants must be clean shaven where the respirator meets the face (CAN/CSA-Z94.4-18[9.2.2]). If you are unable to shave for religious or cultural reasons, or have a facial difference, please contact the NARS office and you’ll be advised of next steps. Do not register for Mask Fit Testing – HLTH 292 if you cannot be clean shaven where the respirator meets the face.

Please submit completed Mask Fit card to Synergy unless otherwise directed. Your testing results will not be forwarded automatically by the testers.
Prior to your Mask Fit session with Fleming, you will be emailed information as well as a Health Screening form that you will need to complete, print, and bring with you to your session.
Fit testing must be conducted every two years.
Any significant facial changes (size, shape, etc.) require re-testing for your mask.Â
