International Student Placement Attestation and Undertaking

International Student Placement Attestation and Undertaking Update

      • At this time, students are still required to review, sign and date the International Student Placement Attestation and Undertaking. If you have questions regarding the content of this form, please connect with the International Student Services team.
      • Students are no longer required to upload their study, or co-op work permits to Synergy, however, students are still required to have valid documents that qualify them to attend their field or clinical placements.
      • Please be advised that at any time placement sites may ask to see copies of your NARS documents. In addition, they may ask to see proof of your eligibility to work or attend placement in Canada. This could include your study permit work allowance or co-op work permit depending upon your situation.
      • If you are unsure about your eligibility to work or attend placement, please connect with the International Student Services team. Failure to produce these documents when required may result in an immediate discontinuation of your placement and could result in disruption to your program progression
      • Reminder that it is solely your responsibility as the student to ensure that your documents allow you to go out on placement. If you go out on placement without the proper documentation required as per IRCC regulations, it is your future immigration applications and PGWP that could be impacted.

The International Student Placement Attestation and Undertaking is required for all international students as a part of their NARs.

Students are required to fill out this document and it must be submitted to Synergy with the remainder of their NARs.

Please reach out to International Student Services if you have questions about this requirement.
