Barb Elliot

Barb is a full-time professor in the Ecosystem Management Program at the School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences at Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario.

She has been at the College since 1995 and teaches a wide range of subjects to students at the first, second and third year levels, including: Ecology and Environment; Skills for Stewardship and Sustainability; Ecology: Concepts and Linkages; Aquatic Ecosystems, Terrestrial Ecosystems, Ecosystem Monitoring and Assessment, Ecosystem Heath, and others. She has travelled to Costa Rica, South Africa and Moose Factory with second year Ecosystem Management (EM) students as a faculty supervisor and mentor. Barb is a certified teacher and graduate from the University of Guelph where she majored in Fisheries Biology. She also completed her Masters of Education degree from Athabasca University, and is a Certified trainer in the Ontario Benthic Biomonitoring Network (OBBN) protocol. She recently received certification as an Aquatic Taxonomist with the Society of Freshwater Science, a North-American-wide accreditation body.
