Student Experience is a service department within Team Fleming. We are committed to student learning and development outside the classroom. Through engaging programming, leadership opportunities and ongoing initiatives, students will have a successful transition to college and access to opportunities throughout their time at Fleming, to get involved and stay connected.

Transition and Mentorship

The Student Experience Team hosts transition events such as Welcome Days and New Student Orientation to help new students start their Fleming journey with confidence. Peer Mentorship at Fleming College involves Fleming student volunteers (mentors) who offer new students (mentees) support and guidance designed to cultivate their personal and academic success.

 

Leadership and Engagement

The Student Experience team goal is to capture out of Classroom learning experiences and provide an opportunity to develop transferable skills. Experiences and learning is documented on the Co-Curricular Record and validated by the college. Opportunities include activities in the following categories:
• Workshops, Certificates, On Campus Events and Participation
• Citizenship and Community Integration
• Peer to Peer Influence and Mentorship
• Governance, Committees and Clubs
• On-Campus Paid
• Awards and Recognition
