Phishing emails are a regular occurrence, a cyber threat lurking in your inbox. While Fleming makes every effort to reduce phishing emails, no system is perfect, and your awareness is key to protect yourself from phishing scams. Always exercise extra caution with any emails offering grants, bursaries or job offers.
Be aware of trusted sources for College information:
- Grants orĀ bursaries noticesĀ will only be sent by ourĀ Financial Aid officeĀ (FinAid@flemingcollege.ca) orĀ Advancement & External Relations departmentĀ (alumni@flemingcollege.ca).
- Job opportunities and postings for on-campus student workĀ are only ever posted to theĀ Evolve Applicant PortalĀ maintained by the Fleming CollegeĀ Human Resources department. Fleming College never sends mass communications about specific job postings. Refer to theĀ Fleming College Career Services pageĀ for assistance with student employment at the College or elsewhere.
- Job offersĀ will only be sent by ourĀ Human Resources departmentĀ (hr@flemingcollege.ca) or a hiring manager that has interviewed you for job.
- Emails from outside of the organization, not from the @flemingcollege.ca email domain, include anĀ “external sender” warning banner.
