The two-year Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) program is designed to enhance academic and vocational skills for individuals with exceptionalities and other significant learning challenges.
Students take core courses in topics such as human relations and communications, job skills, life skills, computer skills, and health and wellness. In addition, students take modified programming, with support from Learning Facilitators, from a Fleming diploma program of their choice in (subject to change and to availability):

Courses in these areas have been intentionally modified to suit the unique learning needs. These modified courses will allow the CICE students to develop applied learning and life skills.

CICE students will participate in co-operative education placements during semesters 2, 3 & 4. Depending on which stream the students select, they will have different non-academic requirements to complete.

Early Childhood Education
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- A new Vulnerable Sector Police Check is require every 6 months
- Students must apply with their local police service
- A letter from the college is required
- Immunization Form
- Students must work with their doctor or nurse, the on-campus Health Services clinic or another healthcare provider
- The form is filled out and signed by the healthcare provider
- Copies of bloodwork reports are also required
- TB Annual Test
- This needs to be done once per year after the first two-step TB test
- Intermediate First Aid (within 3 years) & CPR Level C (renewed annually)
- CPR must be completed every 12 months

- Students are required to be mask fit tested for an N95 mask fit test done every 2 years
- Students can complete this with Fleming Continuing Education
- If students are fit tested off campus, they should refer to the list here of acceptable N95 models
- TB Annual Test
- This needs to be done once per year after the first two-step TB test
- Flu Shot (fall and winter terms)
- This is required between November 30th to April each year
- Students are encouraged to get the flu shot as soon as it is available
- COVID Vaccinations (2 dose minimum)
- Students are required to show proof of two doses, or one dose since September 2024
