Mandate of the Council

The mandate of the EDI Council is to promote diversity, advance equity, and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging at Fleming College. The Council will have representation from and liaise with the broader Fleming community to identify and develop strategies and initiatives that will build upon and contribute to the strategic direction of the College.

The ECI Council reports to:

  • Esther Zdolec, VP, Organizational Effectiveness & Human Resources (Co-Sponsor) 
  • Sandra Dupret, VP, Student Experience (Co-Sponsor) 

The Council is composed of the following members: 

  • Chair, Neil Price, Dean, School of Justice and Community Services
  • Two (2) Union representatives: OPSEU 352 (Faculty) – Audrey Healy, & OPSEU 351 (Support Staff) – Lorinda Frudd
  • Two (2) Administrators: Elizabeth Stone, Chair, Indigenous Perspective & School of General Arts and Sciences, & Shanthi Rajaratnam, Director, Workforce Development, Employment Services
  • Two (2) Faculty members: Barr Gilmore (Haliburton) , 2nd position vacant
  • Two (2) Support staff: Cristina Sad, International Student Advisor, & Monique Gatt, Research Analyst
  • Two (2) Student council representatives: Zoe King, President, Fleming Student Administrative Council, & Shelby Eastman, Vice-President, Frost Student Association

Ex-Officio Members: 

  • Human Rights Officer & Inclusion Specialist (position currently vacant)
