Mentorship is a relationship which fosters the professional and personal growth of both the mentor and mentee while facilitating collaborative learning and knowledge sharing.
GLOBAL FRIENDS CAFÉ
The GLOBAL FRIENDS CAFÉ project started in Spring 2023 as a pilot project. Led by International Student Services. The pilot’s goal was to connect current Fleming students to future Fleming students abroad, helping to create a bond based on common interests, cultural curiosity, and promoting acceptance of diversity, better integration and opportunity for true connection and friendship.
THE PROCESS OF MATCHING STUDENTS
Fleming students in Canada and abroad will respond to a questionnaire via the ICent app to determine each student’s profile. Once completed, ICent will match students with similar interests from different cultures. You will receive a notice that you were matched with another student and will be able to start communicating with them via GLOBAL FRIENDS CAFÉ ICON.
