How to Change your DLI

What is a DLI?

“DLI” stands for Designated Learning Institution. To apply for a study permit, you need an acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institution. A DLI is a school approved by a provincial or territorial government to host international students.

If you are in Canada and your original study permit application was submitted for a program at a different school/college (i.e. NOT Fleming College DLI# O19303189722) you MUST notify the IRCC that you have changed your school/college.

You don’t need a representative to change your DLI, even if you used one to apply for your study permit. You can do this yourself if you have your study permit application details.

Visit this webpage for instructions on how to change your DLI.

Once you complete your DLI change, take a picture or a print screen of the data you input before clicking submit. The IRCC DOES send an email confirming your submission BUT does not include the specific data that was entered into the form.
