New Faculty Experience

The New Faculty Experience is a program for new full-time faculty to build community, develop their teaching skills, and work towards their own professional learning goals. For more information, check out the New Faculty Experience Course Outline.

Program Description: The New Faculty Experience is designed to support new faculty to collaborate and continuously develop exceptional instructional and assessment practices. This program emphasizes faculty practicing high-impact instructional skills and practices in a low-stakes, collegial environment, to receive constructive feedback throughout their first year of full-time faculty employment with Fleming College.

Teaching & Learning Kick Off

In this 60-minute, interactive session, you’ll learn some teaching tips for the first days and weeks of class. We’ll discuss how to:

    • Set positive expectations for learning;
    • Plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons; and
    • Get started with D2L.

Although this session is intended to support new faculty members, all are welcome.
