New Faculty

New Faculty Member? Start Here!

First, welcome and congratulations! Human Resources, the LDS Team, and your school office will provide you with lots of information to get you off to a good start. If you are new to Fleming College it is best to start with the following resources:

New Contract Faculty Experience

Before your first day, you have the New Contract Faculty Experience to help you prepare. This program will provide structure and support for your early days as a new faculty member.

Program Description: The online New Contract Faculty Experience is designed to support new contract faculty as they become familiar with their roles and responsibilities at Fleming College, both by connecting them to our professional community, resources, and services and by encouraging continuous learning and development. This program emphasizes high-impact instructional skills and practices which help faculty build sustainable and effective teaching strategies that support the success of all learners.

New Faculty Experience

The New Faculty Experience is a program for new full-time faculty to build community, develop their teaching skills, and work towards their own professional learning goals. For more information, check out the New Faculty Experience Course Outline.

Program Description: The New Faculty Experience is designed to support new faculty to collaborate and continuously develop exceptional instructional and assessment practices. This program emphasizes faculty practicing high-impact instructional skills and practices in a low-stakes, collegial environment, to receive constructive feedback throughout their first year of full-time faculty employment with Fleming College.
