CIP (College information program) – Sutherland Campus Ontario College’s team up and participate in an information fair at each College. At the Fleming CIP we are expecting approximately 800-1000 potential students. Each Academic School will have a table that we would like help to staff.

October 17th

10:00-3:00

Metro Fair – Direct Energy Building Toronto

The biggest college fair, evening fair for parents and following day for students.  We attend and can interact with up to 2500 potential students. www.ocif.ca We would like to have faculty join the Fleming booth to interact with potential students and their parents.

November 5th 10:00-2:00 Fall Open House College is open for guests to tour and speak with faculty and services.  Expecting approximately 800 potential students. Each Academic school will have a table in the foyer, and each program will have a room.

Library Workshops

Starting this fall, the Library is launching a series of voluntary workshops for students on a variety of key topics, such as:  database searching, evaluating sources, ePortfolios, avoiding plagiarism, and more. Students may register for as many as they like; anyone completing 5 workshops will earn the Information Literacy Certificate, which is CCR eligible. The Library offers a wide variety of workshops and presentations on topics research to research, information/digital literacy, citations and academic integrity, and much more. Absences and Retroactive Accommodations

The Absences and Retroactive Accommodations memorandum provides information on the the recently approved Class Absence Operating Procedure, and the process designed to address the College’s requirement to comply with the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s ruling regarding “Medical Documentation Guidelines and Accommodation” which includes retroactive accommodations.
