Our Policy

Fleming College is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive working and learning environment that is free from any form of harassment, discrimination and bullying as enshrined in the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (2004) and its related Standards/ Regulations, Pay Equity Act, Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA), Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

No policy can provide a full description and definition of every behaviour that fall within the meaning of workplace harassment and discrimination.  This policy encompasses harassment and discrimination based upon every prohibited ground under the OHRC as well as non-human rights definitions of harassment and bullying as outlined in the OHSA (Bill 168) and the collective agreements for both academic and support staff employees.
