Counsellors and professors strive to promote student success. It’s important for faculty to feel like they know the counsellors and feel confident consulting with them as needed or referring students to them. So, the counsellors have scheduled a number of drop-ins for faculty.
There is no agenda for any of the drop-ins. New faculty may want to drop in to learn more about Letters of Accommodation. Some faculty may have concerns about a student’s behaviours in class that they would like to discuss. Or they may be looking for advice on how to support a student who appears to be dealing with a mental health challenge.
