Return to Work and Medical or Disability-Related Accommodations
Fleming College is committed to supporting employees in their efforts to return to work after an illness or injury and/or to provide accommodations due to disability. Our Return to Work/Medical Accommodation (RTW/MA) policy is guided by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and ensures that our policies, procedures, and practices promote the principles of independence, dignity, integration, and equal opportunity.
A successful RTW/MA plan fosters cooperation and partnership among all key stakeholders, including the employee, supervisor, Human Resources, Union representatives, health professionals, Sun Life, and WSIB. This page provides information for employees and supervisors about the College’s RTW/MA program, policies, procedures, and forms.
Supervisors work with their HR Consultant to develop appropriate plans to effectively manage absences, return-to-work, and medical accommodations.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the HR Consultant assigned to your Department or School.
